At Bramalea Alliance Church, we believe that kids and youth are not the next generation, but that they are the generation of today. We are committed to creating an environment where they can actively serve, grow in their faith, and become leaders even at a young age.

Through our serve teams, we aim to mentor and invest in these young hearts, equipping them with the skills and spiritual depth they need to make a lasting impact. It’s not just about preparing them for tomorrow but empowering them to serve right now, as they are.

We believe that through serving, kids and youth can develop a Christ-like heart of compassion, humility, and selflessness. Our goal is to help them recognize that every act of service, no matter how small, is a reflection of their faith and love for God. We want to nurture within them a servant's heart, just as Jesus demonstrated during His time on earth.

    Kids Serve Team (Grade 5's)

Church shouldn't be something kids watch, it should be something they do. As a parent, one of the biggest things you can do to help your children connect with God and with the local church is to model and encourage a lifestyle of serving by helping them find a place to serve on their own. The Kids Serve Team is a group of Grade 5 kids who love to serve and help in ministry. This is a great way to help kids to see beyond themselves and help others. From setting up chairs to making coffee, to getting the kids' rooms ready for ministry, these kids have a passion for serving.

It is never too early to sow the seeds of a servant's attitude in the hearts of your children. Serving can transform a reluctant spectator into an engaged participant.

    Youth Serve Team (Grade 6-12's)

Our Youth Serve Team is an incredible opportunity for Junior and Senior High students who have a heart for making a difference both in our church and in the wider community. This team isn’t just about volunteering—it’s about fostering a lifestyle of service rooted in faith. We believe that serving others is one of the most impactful ways to live out our calling as followers of Christ, and our Serve Team is designed to equip youth to serve with purpose and compassion.

The team meets every other month to dive into a book study and engage in thoughtful discussions about what it truly means to serve. Together, we’ll explore Scripture, practical teachings, and stories that inspire us to reflect Jesus’ love through acts of service. These discussions will help students develop leadership skills, gain a deeper understanding of the heart behind serving, and learn how to identify needs in their community. But we don’t stop there—our service extends beyond study. As a team, we’ll engage in hands-on service projects that put our faith into action. From cleaning up parks and organizing food drives to helping out at community events and serving those in need, the opportunities are endless. These experiences give students a chance to make a real impact, connect with others, and develop a lifelong passion for serving others.

For Junior High students, there’s an additional opportunity to participate in a weekly book study every Tuesday from 5:45 to 6:15 PM, just before Junior High activities. This time allows younger students to dive even deeper into the concepts of service and leadership, preparing them to take part in larger team initiatives.

If your youth is passionate about making an impact, growing in their faith, and building friendships along the way, we’d love for them to join our Youth Serve Team. Together, we can make a lasting difference in our church and community!
