Shawn is the Pastor of Discipleship and Family here at BAC and oversees Senior High Youth Ministries, Young Adults, Missions and Follow the Leader leadership program for Junior High.

Shawn is a longtime Brampton resident who has been attending Bramalea Alliance church for over 40 years. He remembers the early days of meeting at Greenbriar Public School and watching the original church building being erected. Shawn was an Elder here at BAC when the new building was built and dedicated to God. Watching his parents serve at BAC makes Shawn a second-generation Greenwood to serve here at Bramalea and he is excited to see his children, the third- generation of Greenwoods serving here in church ministry.

July 1, 2024, Shawn accepted the call to join the pastoral staff at BAC where he is looking forward to giving back to his church family who played a key role in his spiritual development. Shawn is passionate to help guide and direct the youth at Bramalea Alliance to become committed followers of Jesus. God is calling him to love, equip, mentor and shape those young people in his care, while trusting that God will equip him to help the next generation to not live a religious life but a life that is fully committed to Jesus.

Shawn is an Ontario Certified Teacher who left teaching to follow his call to teach and mentor the young people of Bramalea Alliance. Shawn is committed to teaching and living out the vision statement of Bramalea Alliance Church which is “A Family, Knowing, Growing, Showing”. He understands the importance of our youth Knowing who Jesus is, Growing in their faith through the knowledge of the Bible and then Showing the love of Christ to all of those around them.
